About Fairlie
Designed with fun and function in mind, Fairlie offers a sophisticated and versatile space for weddings, private events, meetings, and production in Chicago’s Kinzie Industrial Corridor.
Boasting a combined available 15,000 square feet across the building’s ceremony + reception area and adjacent mezzanines + dressing lounges, Fairlie provides tables + seating for up to 250 guests with an additional 10 cocktail tables available for use.
Our interior space juxtaposes warm, exposed-brick walls, raw steel, and marbled concrete accents, creating a modern, yet timeless atmosphere. Skylight atrium windows allow natural light to blend with industrial-style lighting fixtures within the main hall and flowing voile drapes incorporate a soft elegance. A custom-designed steel and grid staircase grants guests access to the second-floor loft and lounge space.
We are always brainstorming with our couples on ways we can create less waste, whether it's repurposing greenery from one wedding to the next or providing a water station instead of plastic bottles. Every little bit counts.
How We Stay Sustainable:
Provided curtains and drapery to partition the room, reducing the water waste and delivery emissions that come with rented drapery.
Reusable oil-burning candle treatment on venue shelves
Re-purposing of wood and windows for shelving and mirrors around the venue
Mini fridge in suites to encourage wedding parties to ditch those styrofoam coolers
On-site recycling and waste pickup
High efficiency HVAC with smart thermostats
Use of skylights for warmth/light and not running utilities when space is not in use
Environmentally safe cleaning supplies in recyclable packaging
Tuk Tuk used for photo-ops with a rechargeable battery
Dimmable LED lighting throughout the space
Electronic document filing, minimal to no printing
Encouraging couples to work with other SEC Vendors!
